Served Sept.1962-Sept.1966. Recruit at NTC San Diego, CA;
Aviation Machinist Mate, Reciprocating "A" School at Memphis, TN; then on to Quonset Pt.,R.I.with VS-22 squadron operating off of the USS Lake Champlain CVS-39. Was present for Gemini 2 & 5 space recoveries. Only made Airman due to a closed rate so I got out after 4 and back to civilian life in 1966. (what a dumb mistake!!)
