As a reserve line Ensign, assigned to North Pacific Command in 1942. Served in Gunnery Department on USS Pensylvania. Involved in Battle of Attu. Transferred to Staff, 7th Amphibious Force in 1944. Served on USS Blue Ridge, USS Ancon, USS Catoctin. Participated in Ampbibious landing at Leyte, in Battle of Leyte
Gulf, in Amphibious landing at Lingayan. Received Bronz Star for valor. Tranferred to Regular Navy in 1946 in the Supply Corps. Assigned to Marine Corps Air Sation, Cherry Point, NC. In 1951 odered to USS Kula Gulf for commissioning and as head of Supply Department. Ship assigned to Atlantic Fleet Submarine Killer Force. In 1942 ordered to Naval War College under instruction. In 1943 ordered to Atlantic Fleet Service Force In 1945 order to Naval War College on faculty. Later became Head of Research and Analysis. In 1958 transferred to NAS, Gtmo, Cuba as Supply and Fiscal Officer. 1960 transferred to Headquarters of Bureau of Supplies and Accounts. In 1963 to Ordnance Supply Office as head of Ammunition Division. In 1965 Commanding Officer, Ships Parts Control Center. 1966 Attended Harvard Business School. 1967 assigned to Defense Supply Agency. 1968 Commanding Officer, Electronics Supply Office. 1970 assigned to Bureau of Supplies and Accounts. Retired in 1971.
