Served AD during Korean War from March 52 to 31 Dec 76 and 1 Jan 77 - 86 Retired Reserved. 52 Basic training at former Naval Training Center, Sampson AFB, Geneva, NY. Initial MOS B-29 turret systems (gunner)with 53 transition to Strategic Air Command (SAC)(Heavy Bombers) Escape and Evasion Instrutor Cadre. Crossed Pacific in 1955 on USS General "Andy" Anderson [Golden Shellback]for Yokohama, Japan with follow on duty at Camp Crawford,Sapporo,Japan. Follow on assignments CONUS at several SAC bases as Aircrew Combatives Armed and Unarmed Instructor. Also assigned General's Aide duties, Bergtrom AFB, Austin, TX during mid-60's during President Johnson's reign. Southeast Asia PCS 68, first of six SEA tours during VNM War. 1969 assigned to Camp Brady, Tri-Services Security [Army, Navy, Air Force] Hakata, Fukuoka, Japan. Charter member,Navy Chief "Snuffy" Smith Memorial VFW Post, Pacific. Decorated by CG, 5th Air Force for saving two Japanese youth from drowning in Hakata Bay. Final assignment CONUS at Castle AFB, SNCOIC, Recreational Services. Retired to Hawaii 31 Dec 76. AA, BS, MA in Hawaii and hired as Military Services Officer, GS-12, NAS Barber's Point, HI 81 - 84. "Honorary Chief" and members Commanding Officer's ISIC Team, Midway, Island. 85 to Pensacola, FL worked MWR as contractor for Olympic Judo Taining for active duty and family members. 89 - 96 to ROK. GS-13 assigned to Presidio of Monterey Defense Language Center, Monterey, CA 96 - 98. Assigned to Bamberg, Germany as Chief, Recreatiuon Division and subsequently GS-13 HQs, 98th Area Support Group as Chief Recreation and Business Operations Division. Retired from DoD 3 Oct 03 for Bangkok, Thailand. Served under BGen Heine Aderholt, former CG, JUSMAGTHAI and President, Air Commando Association (ACA). Selected as SEA Representative McCoskrie Foundation, humanitarian branch of ACA. Responsible for coordination btw ACA and SEA. Returned to CONUS August 2003 for daughter's schooling and to reestablish roots. MWR contractor for NAS Pensacola teaching martial arts for AD, local law-enforcement and family members. Coined by the NAS Base Commanding Officer in 2006. Developed the second largest U.S. National Olympic Development Judo Club under the United States Judo Association [formerally the Armed Services Judo Association] Founder and Director, Armed Services Judo and Jujitsu Academy, 1985 - present.
