RM"A" School Bainbridge, Md. Assigned to Subron Four Staff aboard USS Howard W. Gilmore AS16, While in Subron Four Staff assigned TAD to USS Petrel ASR-14 and USS Trutta SS-421. Special orders to Comsurflant to serve in a liasion unit aboard the USACS Ablert J. Myer (an Army Cable Layer). Mar 1958 to Apr 60 ComAEWingLand/Combarlant Argentia Newfoundland. June 1960 to Apr 1962 Naval Oceanographic Facility Antigua, British West Indies. Apr 1962 to Apr 1964 Naval Oceanographic Facility Cape Hatteras, NC. May 1964 to Feb 1965 Radioman "B" School Bainbridge, MD. Mar 1965 to Oct 1967 assigned to Phibron Seven Staff. The Staff rode the USS Bayfield APA-33, USS Princeton LPH5, and the USS Point Defiance LSD-31 and spent most of our time in Viet Nam. Made Warrant Officer June 1967 while in Phibron Seven Staff. Nov 1967 to Nov 1970 Naval Communications Station Honolulu, served as Fleet CommCen Officer. special aide to the Commanding Officer, and Officer-in-Charge Communications Fleet Weather Central Honolulu. Nov 1970 to Feb 1973 Naval Electrons Lab Point Loma, San Diego as project officer for the development of the Message Processing and Distrabution System (MPDS) and the Facilities Control System (FCS) for the USS Nimitz communications package. Feb 1973 to May 1975 Nimitz pre-commissioning crew, installed MPDS and FCS. May 3 1975 commissioned the USS Nimitz CVN-68. May 1975 to Sept 1975 USS Nimitz CVN-68 Radio Officer CR/CS Division Officer. 30 Sept 1975 reverted to Master Chief Radioman and retired.
