From there went to the Fleet, then to "A" School in Navy Memphis. Then back to the Fleet. Was eventually injured and shipped to National Naval Medical Center, Bethesda, MD.  Was in hospital 14 months. Retired from the Navy due to injuries received. Retired from the Navy on 01 Nov 67. Released from hospital April 1968.
