Went to Great Lakes Naval Training Center 6-23-46 and was sent to Whibey Island Naval Air Station and servedat Ault Field and then was sent to Coronet Bay Crash Boat Station until 4-23-48. I was in the naval reserves from 4-23-48 until I was called back to active duty in July, 1950 and reported to Great Lakes and was was shipped out to San Francisco in August 1950 and assigned to the USS Telfair APA210 to put her back in commission.We loaded up with ammo at Port Chicago and then to San Diego in November and loaded up with Marines and headed for Kobe, Japan arriving in January, 1959.There we unloaded troops and laterheaded for Sasabo where we made runs with troops to Korea on different We headed back to the states in September and I was discharged in April 1952.
