I served from Aug. 10, 1954 to July 9, 1958.  Went to Bainbridge Recruit Training Center from Aug to Oct. 1954.  Was sent to Submarine School in New London, Conn.  Didn't want sub school.  Stayed there for two weeks and was sent to the USS Bushnell AS-15 in Key West, FL.  Worked in ice machines.  May 1957 got a transfer to New York Group Atlantic Reserve Fleet in Bayonne, NJ until I received my Honorable Discharge July 9, 1958. Went back to Key West in 1959.  Joined the Key West Police Dept. in 1960.  Retired as a Homicide Det. Sgt. Feb. 28, 1998.  Moved to Port St. Lucie, FL April '98. I moved back to my home State  of New Jersey in October 2005.
