Served October, '41 to January, ,47. Boot Training At San Diego, NTC. Bootleave began 6 December, '41. Transfered to St. Louis, MO. EM school. Transfered Brooklyn Navy Yard Gyro Compass School. Assigned to USS Earle DD635 September '42. Was involved at Casa Blanca, Sicily and Southern France campaigns and many convoys. June '45 USS Earle converted to DMS42 (fast Minesweeper). October, '45 The Earle was dispatched to Okinowa and then to Sasebo, Japan. Was involved in mine sweeping operations. Picked up survivors of USS Minevet AM 371 and transported them to USS Panamint. Returned to States April '46. Honorably Discharged 7 Jan,'47
